Pre-drywall walk through

Had the pre-drywall walk through today. It's so exciting to see everything coming together! The bricks were delivered and the house will be bricked next week. Also next week they will hopefully be getting hooked up by DTE so they can pour the concrete for the basement floor, etc. Drywall and siding are scheduled for two weeks out.

Complete Roof

Our roof is now complete, and the electrical is being completed this week. Our pre-drywall walk through is scheduled for Saturday at 11am.

Windows and Doors!

We now have windows, some shingles, doors, and a lock box!

Weather delays

Last week there was not much work done on the house due to the cold weather. Currently, the heating, cooling, and plumbing are all done. The roofers tried to start the roof yesterday but the shingles (which were left in boxes on the roof for about a week) were frozen together. So they need to order more and will probably not get started until the end of this week. Our pre-drywall walk through is pushed back to next Saturday most likely.

Weekly Update

We just got our weekly update from our superintendent Jon. The roofing will start tomorrow or Tuesday. Plumbing is complete and the electrical, heating, and cooling should be done by the end of this week or early next week. We'll have our pre-drywall walk through the end of next week!

We drove by the house yesterday, but didn't take any pictures. Not much had changed. Can't wait to see the roof going up!

Finished Roof and Garage

Today the garage is up and most of the roof is on. It's looking like a house!!!

We have a roof!

Yesterday (Jan 5) I drove by and the house was being worked on. The front was enclosed and they were putting the rest of the weather wrapping on. Looked like the stairs were in as well.

It's a new year
