Christmas Week Update

They backfilled the foundation sometime in the past week, and today they are trenching the garage footing. I drove by around 9:30am and they were not working on it yet, but here's a snowy picture anyway! They are due to start construction and framing after January 1st.

This is my parents' lot, they are on a different street from us, but they back up against the same wooded area that we do.

Foundation

Last week the foundation was poured for our house. They have to wait 10 days before backfilling due to the cold weather, so that is scheduled for this coming Friday.

Digging the Basement

Today they excavated our basement. The digging was delayed a week or so because apparently the person that signs the city permits was on vacation.

I was home from work early so I drove by the lot around 4:30. They were digging when I got there so I got an action shot. The foundation should be poured by the end of the week!
